The Vision

It’s been an amazing journey! Born and raised in a Pastor’s home, I thought that I would always serve God, but never be a preacher.  Thirty six years later, here we are, in Yakima, Washington, serving in one of the premiere churches in our denomination...

I began full-time ministry in August of 1992, one year out of high school.  After serving and being mentored as a Music Pastor in South Florida for two years, I met my wife.  We have served in Maine, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.  While not seeking a move, an opportunity to come to Yakima presented itself.  While serving a successful and growing pastorate in Texas, the call of God to Yakima, caught us by surprise.  However, after all of the unique circumstances that brought us here, there is no doubt that we are where we are supposed to be.

Christian Life Center, known affectionately here as CLC, has an amazing history, but an even more promising future.

OUR VISION is to tap into the things that made this church great in the 1980’s and beyond.

In going with our identity as ‘CLC’, it serves as a constant reminder of who are we and what we are about.

C – Compassion
We are a church that embraces all races, social and economic backgrounds.  We want to show the love of Christ, by being a people, full of Compassion.

L – Lordship
A word that is not widely accepted in our world today, but God must direct our steps, light our path, and get glory out of our lives. That is accomplished only through making Him Lord our lives.  This means we study His word, live by His standards, and grow in our relationship with Him and others.

C – Commission
We are reaffirming our commitment to the Great Commission. Go Ye, and preach the gospel.  With more than two dozen mission efforts, CLC is committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, all around the world!

We believe that every ministry of our church must use this model as a template for everything they do, and for the reason they exist.

Compassion (Worship), In-reach (Equipping), and Out-reach (presenting the Gospel to the unchurched).

There is so much more that we can’t say in this format, but should you desire to know more, please
contact the office, or even better, come join us for worship!
